Our Fields

Over the past 27 seasons, children have learned the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship and character through baseball on Harlem Little League's fields of dreams, but the three fields where our youngest children play are in need of major restoration.

Jackie Robinson Park's fields are home to our Tee Ball and Rookie programs. Players 5- to 8-years-old take the field here, often for the first time. This small pair of diamonds needs new drainage, leveling and resurfacing. A midweek rainstorm can flood those fields making them unplayable on the weekend.

Holcombe Rucker Park, where our 9- and 10-year-olds play, has not been refurbished since it was built in 1991. Please make a tax-deductible donation now.

The League is strong with 250 volunteers working with 400 children each season to achieve its goals. But our field conditions can hinder our growth. While we have enjoyed a great relationship with the NYC Parks Department, we cannot rely on the government alone to upgrade our fields now.

Contractors estimate the cost of restoration at the three fields to be $75,000. We have received a generous grant from Little League Baseball, Incorporated, but we need far more help to make this project a reality. We graciously ask for your tax-deductible donation to help Harlem Little League continue Building Big League Citizens. Please give now.
